Boiler showing F3 error code.

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.28 PM

Our Ideal i-mini c30 boiler is showing an F3 error code on its screen. Can hear the boiler firing up and sounds normal, but we’ve got no hot water or heating. Only had the boiler 2 months so unsure as to what’s happened. Any ideas? Also, if it is a fault, is it something that will be fixed by the company as we are still within warranty?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

for this error code there are several things that may have gone wrong, the boiler is still under warranty so you should call your installer back to sort it out.

F3 is a Fault with fan, This fault is caused by a loose or damaged fan, & could be related to deeper problems such as loose or damaged connections, water damage from a boiler leak, a fault with the air pressure switch or a problem with the printed circuit board. Yes it will be still under warranty of the Heating Company who installed it,so their responsibility to return & repair problem Regards

You have no need to be concerned you just need to contact the installer as already mentioned your covered by warranty. And any reputable engineer should come out free of charge within the first 6 months anyway.
