Buzzer door entry handset - can it be moved?

Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 3.46 PM

I live in a block of flats with a buzzer entry system, the handset is in the living room and makes the most horrendous loud buzz. Me and the dog practically need scraped off the ceiling when it goes off🤣. Is it possible to move a handset like this into the hallway? Thank you

Anything can be moved. I would imagine in a block of flats this equipment is owned by freeholder. I would ask their permission first. It may also be possible to adjust the volume of buzz or even turn off and just have flashing LED

Hi yes it’s possible to move the hand set. There’s a few different options you could do Either extend the cables and move it to where you want or you could put it the other side of the wall with no cable extension

The buzzer can be silenced with out moving cheaper option or if it needs to move to the hall way? Ofcurs any local spark can do that. Make sure you pick the right one.
