Pump drain system with pile foundation?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.46 PM

Do you have to use a 'pump drain system' for your drain pop ups if the building is going to have a pile foundation?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, you still may need to install a pumped system regardless of whether your'e piling or not. It will depend on the levels and falls. Obviously, if you need to get your foul (or storm water) up hill to the main drain for connection then you will need to pump it. Thanks.

Just because the foundation was piled doesn’t mean anything needs to be pumped. The levels of top of floor To bottom of build Then flow from waste to where it’s going depicts wether a pump is needed. Uphill downhill etc

Not at all, simply install the drainage after the piles have been installed. excavate your drainage trenches as straight as possible around the piles or threw the capping beam ensuring the reinforcement is not hindered.
