First fix plumbing before or after bricking off kitchen door?
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM
I would like to brick off a external kitchen door that leads into the garden and replace it with a big window with a new kitchen unit and sink underneath the new window. Do we do first fix plumbing before or after bricking off this kitchen door? The reason for this is because the kitchen is very small and this would allow us to fit more units in the same space. We still have access to the garden via the french doors in the dining room area.

Along as the pipes are coming out in the space of the new kitchen unit (underneath the sink) I don’t think bricking the door would make a difference, can always drill through if needs be.

I can't visualize bricking up 1st would be any problem, if anything it should be more practical to do so.

First fix first then wall. Make sure the pipes are insulated in they go in the wall or underground.
