Can you convert a bedroom into a bathroom but leave the original floorboards
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.42 PM
I would like to convert a bedroom into a bathroom in my Victorian terrace house as there is no bathroom on the first floor. My house has lots of original features which I love including varnished original floorboards and I would like to keep this feature in my new bathroom. I saw someone else in my road who was having a similar job done and her floorboards had been taken out. I was wondering if this was necessary or just a choice. My other question is the room where I would like the bathroom is not directly above a room with plumbing. How much more expensive is it to convert a room that is next to the room above the plumbing than it would be to convert a room directly above the kitchen? I would be very grateful for any advice. Thank you.
