Where should do I place the dpc if the wall has a brick plinth?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.42 PM

I have a blockwork with render cavity wall which has 450mm high brick plinth, I'm not quite sure where to place the dpc, should I be placing the dpc in the brick plinth at 150mm above ground level? Or should place it in the blockwork cavity wall itself? Because the plinth is 450mm high should I place the dpc at 450mm above ground level?

Where is the level of the internal floor and is it wooden joists or concrete? This will determine where the dpc goes.

Horizontal DPC's on outer skin to be at 150mm min above finished ground, eg path level
