Bathroom Fitting

Plastic bathroom ceiling panels

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.03 PM

Hi, we're wanting to get our bathroom ceiling covered with plastic panels to make it easier to clean but we're unsure what kind of tradesperson would do this. We are having the walls and floor tiled and asked the tiler if he could do the ceiling and he advised this would not be something he can do. What kind of tradesperson would we need to contact?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The ceiling is best to be tongue & grove cladded with pvc providing the ceiling is not damp at the moment. If the bathroom is well ventilated then damp should t be an issue, leaving you with plenty of options for aesthetics. Regards, Callum

A good bathroom fitter should be able to sort that for you while doing your bathroom or a handyman would be the next best person

Any trades person who could fit plasterboard or any boards to the ceiling could do it. They just need to know where the studs are for the ceiling, know how to accommodate for light fixtures and use mechanical and an adhesive. It’s much like fitting a plasterboard but you would need to use construction adhesive also. If it’s an easy clean ceiling you want there are washable paints out there you could use.
