Toilet seat fittings issue
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.46 PM
Hi. I'm trying to get a new toilet seat for an old Trent toilet (2 different toilet seats tried from different shops). The issue I'm finding is that the holes on the toilet for the new fittings to go in are too small. The holes have a diameter of around 13mm - supplied fittings are too big to fit. Can anyone recommend a brand/model of seat (ideally white and soft-closing) to fit smaller holes, please? The distance btw the holes is not a problem. Thanks.

I recommend. Bemis toilet seats from B&Q. Specifically one that’s sta-tite. They use small threaded rods to go through the pan so should be plenty small enough. And are very unlikely to come lose.

There are a couple of alternatives one of them being a toilet seat that has the old fashion manual tightening bolts or you could purchase one that comes with stick pads ( they are highly recommended on the internet).
