Fence Post Depth

How many feet should you have the concrete fence post below the surface. I am getting 6ft fence panels.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

2 foot if it’s 6 foot above should be two foot in the ground .it dose not have to be that deep ic the ground is hard but your post will come 8foot long

I always recommend that concrete posts should be 2ft in the ground.

Two foot in the ground usually for your concrete post but depending on length of post it may be more

If its a 6ft fence the posts will be 8ft so 2ft in the ground , sometimes they need to be cut if there are obstacles in the way ie tree roots that cant be cut or pipes etc.
