I want new gas pipes installed

Hello there. Someone please shed some light on a couple of things. Recently I had a gas leak above the metre, luckily cadent came and capped off the metre. I now want to get a new gas line fitted (by a gas safe person). Questions: 1- I know gas pipes run to the boiler, but do they run to individual radiators? We have a combi boiler 2- if answer above is no, can a gas line be run externally from the metre to the gas cooker and then boiler, then inside to the gas fire through walls ? 3-What is the kind of charge I can expect? Please advise Thanks

Hi, 1/ The radiators do not have gas running to them, they heat via the boiler, The pipes on the radiators are water pipes. 2/ yes the gas pipe can be run externally and with regards replacing it to the fire that could only be answered when the engineer determines we’re the leak is coming from, I’ll be happy to help is there’s anything I’ve not explained clearly

The best bet would get a gas safe engineer to have a look at the job and price for the best route to each appliance at the best cost for the customer.

1.Radiators only have water pipes connected 2. Yes has pipes can be connected externally 3. This is a bespoke solution, and really needs a Gas safe registered person to survey & quote. Best regards

1) Radiators have two pipe (flow and return) both contain water. 2) We will need to measure the distance from meter to the gas appliances to get the correct pipe size. After installation we will do tightness test to make sure no gas leak and issue the gas safety certificate. Thanks
