Internal oak french doors - do they need to be special doors
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM
I am putting in two sets of oak french doors at either end of the living room - should they have been special thermal grade doors - I didn't think that applied to internal doors? They were made to measure as the doorway is larger than a standard doorway, and the glass panels are just over the 250mm width which means they will probably fail building regs - is there any way I can laminate the glass in situ - I really did not want to have to take the doors apart as they were very expensive....I bought the doors well over a year ago and due to Covid have only just got round to fitting them so it is too late to take it up with the supplier.Update - I am going to try and go back to the supplier - even though it has been some time I agree that they as manufacturers should know the relevant regulations. Thanks for all replies -
