Build toilet on ground floor of house
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.42 PM
I wanted to make a small bathroom under the stairs. Just a toilet and sink with tiles on wall. There is already enough space under the stairs. Do I need planning permission or building regulation permission before I carry work out. Thank you

Hi!
No you don’t need permission.
Just plan what you want to do and go ahead!

you may not need permission for the build side, but you may need it for any drains you put in.

As above you may need permission for certain drainage , and bare in mind it is a tight space , so make sure you have head room and space for a door , just plan well .

There is a difficult situation to say yes
Because someone has to see it on the outlet of your toilet and basen
The drop, the distance or the surface depends inside/outside until reaches the main holl or main toilet pipe doesn’t force you to brake the rules of the building regulations
Before you get some information from a certified builder/suaver don’t just start
