Bathroom Fitting

Pipe distance for shower

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.42 PM

Hi all, I'm having the first fix done for the shower and basin. I know that for the shower, I will have an exposed system with shower and hand shower (no bath spout); for the basin, I'll have monoblock tap coming from the vanity unit. I'm aware that it's not ideal but unfortunately I haven't yet bought the taps or shower. Therefore, are there any standard distances for the pipes to be run in order to then fit a standard exposed shower and monoblock tap? Thank you very much in advance! Really appreciate your advice.

Hi! For basin vanity you will be safe to have the pipes coming out of wall at a distance between 50 to 60cm measured from floor. For shower unfortunately you will have to buy the valve if you’ll have a rainfall head (not always adjustable heightwise) plus flexi showerhead, but if you’ll have just a normal barvalve with a shower raiser with flexi, pipes (copper 15mm) will come around 120cm height from top of showertray, centred with its width, exactly 15cm apart centre to centre and always hot on left side. Hope this helps!
