Thermostatic Shower Mixer Replacement
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.57 PM
Hey all, I need to replace my shower mixer but I have a question about the sizing. Are they generally the same size, most importantly I mean from the top hold? I just want to avoid drilling into the tiles and use the existing holes if possible?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Generally most bar shower mixers are 150mm centre to centre so pretty universal .
Regards to the shower head slide rail they can vary so 1 hole might line up and the other slightly out.
Depending on the brand you have usualy not much difference in screwholes for rail but no guarantee

Bar shower mixer valves with 3/4" union nuts centre to centre 150mm.
Shower mixer valves with 15mm compression nuts usually have adjustable connections but it's still close to 150mm.
Shower head rail kit could be universal where one of the bracket adjustable so no extra holes to drill.
