Random drops in water pressure/ no water from all taps

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.03 PM

I have been living in a property for three weeks I have noticed the stopcock is ceased and all the taps stop working randomly for a short periods of time and the cistern doesn’t fill as if there is low water pressure. Just wondering if anyone knows what this could be and how much something like this would cost to fix? Thanks

I would say if this happens randomly it could be that your on a common supply with your neighbours and because your stop tap may only be partially open you will get less flow to your property when your neighbours use water. I would first look at getting the stop tap replaced which will cost the price of the fittings plus about 1 hour labour but that all depends on access type of pipe ect.

Chances are the jumper has dropped in the stop tap I’d suggest renewing the stop tap to restore the pressure
