How to remove house sign glued with epoxy resin
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.45 PM
We had a house sign installed yesterday but the handyman didn't install it straight. It was installed with hidden fixtures (epoxy glue) and I feel its stuck firm to the brick. As the sign is new, we want it still so want to remove without any damage. Does anyone have any tips or guidance please? Ps the sign itself is made of Corian Thank you

Firstly you can try a glue dissolvant but failing that it would need prying off. Subject to sign type this couuld be achieved without damage but without seeing the sign or wall it's difficult to ascertain.

Hi
I have seen this problem before!
Easy way is to heat the sign and glue with a hairdryer,
Once it’s warm enough the sign will prise off easily,
To remove the glue from the brick,
Same again warm glue up and it will peel off.
Hope this has helped.

You can either heat it up or use some kind of stripper to to make it easier to remove.

Hi, if you're not wanting to spend money the first thing I would try is to heat the sign up with something like a hair dryer and gently try to prise it from the wall. If you feel a little bit coming away but not fully, just do a little at a time and heat the glue back up. Hope this helps.
