Threatening window company , can anyone advice please?

Hello, I have had some aluminium windows fitted, It has been a disaster. I ordered 4 windows. The two bedroom windows were fitted badly and I refused to let them continue. I have already paid £6,700 deposit. They now say I must pay for the other one window but the fourth one they accept is bad. They have asked for another £2,00 in payment with the threat of bailiffs if I don't pay. I dont want to give them any more money. I have asked for an itemised bill for the outstanding amount but they refuse. What can I do? Thank you so much

Go speak to citizen advice take all relevant paperwork and they should be able to point you in the right direction. It may also be worth your while talking to your local trading standard. Good luck alex

Did you sign a contract? Legally you have to give the company a chance to come back and rectify the problems. You can request another fitting team if that was the issue. It sounds like the money you have paid so far has covered them. To get to the point where bailiffs turn up will cost them thousands in court costs first so they will not do that. If it is that bad you should be asking for money back.

They should be FENSA registered and, if so, are regulated by them. Try contacting them and explain your issues as they should inspect their work and pass/fail it. Good luck.
