Capacity for unvented direct hot water cylinder
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM
What would be the ideal capacity for direct unvented water cylinder. 2 people 1 bathroom Showers mostly No dishwasher/dishes washed by hand Occasional bath or guests (every 6 months) Thinking of 150 litre as space is an issue Would 170l be better?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Just to let you know that the 150litre will be fine but it best to have that bit extra that the 170 litre one will give you also it more efficient as you will be heating it less often, i hope this helps you to make your mind up

I would always advise the customer to get the bigger vessel because of heating the water from warm is not as expensive as heating it from cold , it is always better to oversize than undersize any heating system.

This only 10% extra water, do you really think it makes any difference. I do not.
