Garden Room Doors
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM
I have a shed I’m converting into a garden room. I’ve had UPVC windows put in and now I need to replace the doors for something a bit more aesthetically pleasing (and hopefully more durable and warm) than your standard shed door. I’ve been doing some bits of research and apparently Fibreglass doors are a good option? I’d be grateful of any suggestions/input?

Composite doors are really nice. You have a lot of choice and they are quality made doors the retain heat and sound. Hope this helps

Hi,
Congrats on getting this far with the conversion, hopefully this will help with choosing a door. Fibreglass/grp doors are also known as Composite doors and are certainly a superior door "manufacturer dependent" although maybe not the perfect fit for your project. As you mention doors plural, have you considered french doors? They let in a lot more light than most composite doors and with the right combination of frame and unit they could be super efficient so no need to worry about the cold.In the setup as I'm imagining it I would think french doors would be a better fit and also the added bonus of being a quarter of the price of a double composite.
Hope this helps from us all at glazing doctor
