How do I get the water running from the hot taps again?
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM
Hi can anyone please help me, I topped up the pressure in our Ideal logic combi boiler C30 on Thursday night. All was well until I noticed the central heating had gone off. The only person I could ask for help couldn't come round for 24 hours so we were very cold. He came round last night got the heating working, but after he left I noticed we have no water coming from the hot taps. Can anyone please tell me how to get it up and running again? Thank you so much in advance.

On the ideal logic the filling loop is on the underneath on the right, connected to the heating return and cold water inlet, you will see 2 blue levers. I’m guessing when the boiler has been topped up the lever hasn’t been put back to original position on the cold inlet, it will be the blue lever on the 15mm pipe that needs turning a 1/4 turn.

As BlueBulldog states if no water is coming from the hot tap, the cold water inlet to your boiler has been closed. Make sure you don’t overpressurise your boiler by mistake.
