No water from hot taps

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that replied to my problem, it was very kind of you and I now have running hot water again, thanks again.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, First thing to check would be do you get hot water from any other taps?, if so look for a isolation valve under the tap not working, and use a flathead screwdriver to turn the flat head online with the pipe. Also check there is not an isolation valve on the hot out of the boiler if no hot taps have any water any make sure it is open The next solution are if you have water coming from the hot taps but the water is not hot (If heating is not working too) I would check the pressure on the boiler, if it keeps dropping regularly with no signs of a leak after you top it up it may have a faulty PRV(this leaks water to outside) The second thing to check would be, when running any hot tap dose the boiler fire up and show a tap icon on the screen. If it dose but you don’t get hot water from any taps, this may be a blocked plate heat exchanger or faulty tep sensor. Lee Louis Carlsen Build and Renovation
