Epdm upstand OSB or brick

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.27 PM

Can I put my EPDM directly to a brick wall for upstand or should I secure a strip of 11mm osb? Thanks

U can glue the edpm to the wall you will just want to make sure it is cleaned and prepped before doing so. You will need to use the contact glue coating both the brick wall and the edpm. Just try to make sure you give The contact glue time to tac off so you can get a good stick and neat finish hope this helps !

Providing your using the correct mastic to adhere the EPDM (such as Arbo) you should be fine, when applying the EPDM ensure its a dry and dust free surface . Make sure you apply a constant bead behind the EPDM and tool or use the applicator roller to ensure a good seal for the EPDM.

Yes you can stick EPDM direct to brick, make sure it's clean and dry before applying bonding adhesive to brick and rubber. Allow for glue to tack of.
