Can any one tell me if a baxi Vp3 pipe can be sealed at the joints

I have a baxi Vp3 fire. It was serviced but since then I am told that the both inlet pipes, one being number 225788bax. It leaking at the joints. I can not get hold of this part because it is obsolete. Can it be sealed at all
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

From the picture of the part looks like one end compression and one end flange connection (fibre washer) required to be tightened. In theory it should be possible to seal (change fiber washer).

If it is a old fire it will be hard to get parts . Unless you try the internet for part .

Hi, unfortunately most of the old back boiler type fires are considered very inefficient compared to combi boilers or heat pump technology. As fuel prices increase, its going to become more and more costly to run, it also won't be compatible to any future changes to the gas fuels we will be supplied. My best advice would be to consider having the back boiler replaced for a more efficient way of heating your home!.
