Hydronic Plinth Heater

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.03 PM

I want to have a hydronic plinth heater installed, as I don't have a radiator in the kitchen. I can see no heating pipework under the kitchen units. But there is exposed heating pipwork from the boiler which goes behind the kitchen units. Could a connection for the heater be taken from the exposed pipework from the boiler using a flexible connector. Or would I have to go for an electrical plinth heater.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

this could be done by a qualified plumber or heating engineer.

You wouldn't use a flexi hose!!! You would need a qualified plumber to drain heating system & join onto exposed pipework. Then refill system with inhibitor added to keep system clean. As long as its the flow & return pipes for heating circuit.

It could be tee'd off heating pipes with with plastic flexible pipe after 1 meter of copper pipe from boiler as all boilers need at least 1 meter of copper pipe underneath the boiler, Why I hear you say, well its regulations!
