Central Heating
When hot water is switched on,neither hot water or central heating works .

When hot water is switched on,neither hot water or central heating works -this happened out of the blue.We have chosen to not use the water heater and to use the immerser. What do you think is wrong, please? Thank you.

Maine plumbing and tiling
With limited information, I.e. what boiler make and model and what make of programmer, it's difficult to assess the potential problem, it could be either a mechanical or electrical issue. I would submit a request for a boiler- gas engineer to come around and provide you with a quotation and overview of your issue via my builder, they are a pre assessed tradesman and they will provide an honest service, there's nothing better than peace of mind. Very little info to go by here but theres a good chance if its a 3 port zone valve its not working.

If it with a combi boiler there's a possible problem with the driverter valve.
If a heat only boiler with hot water cylinder. It's going to be either the programmer or cylinder stat
