Hello
This would be completely fine and just point up the outside when the foam is dry as well to Seal it.
Hope this helped

Hi,
Agree with the previous answer. Just be careful with expanding foam, a little goes a long way, I repaired a stud wall recently where the homeowner injected too much expanding foam which cracked the plasterboard as it expanded.
Thanks,
Iain.

Hi, yes this will be completely fine but just be careful on the expanding foam as it goes a long way, then just point the external up with a mortar mix.
Thanks

You need to apply interior kind of filler from inside into the holes and use exterior waterproof kind of filler from outside

expanding foam can be unsightly when you overdo it...go easy and leave enough space for filler on both walls to tidy up before painting.
