Insulation

How to insulate a flat that is above an archway?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.45 PM

My 1990s first floor flat has electric panel heaters which heat the flat quickly but the heat disappears quickly when they are off. The main room has an entrance below it so am sure that is not helping. What is the most cost effective way to improve insulation? Thanks

Hi Good morning, depending on the surface of the archway you can use spray foam insulate. We would recommend 50mm of closed-cell spray insulation which will give you a high resistance to heat loss, air-tightness, and a Class 1 fire rating without taking up to much space. sean@sprayfoamtech.uk
