How do I best deal with oddly placed power, TV, and ethernet sockets?
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.45 PM
My living room has multiple power, TV, and ethernet sockets in the living room. My problem is that they've been placed quite high on the wall, and if I were to hang my TV on the wall you'd see all the sockets, even if I put a reasonably high TV stand in front of the sockets. What would be the best way to deal with this? Would it be to reposition the sockets, or to create some kind of double wall to hide the cables? What kind of tradesmen would I need for this job?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

In this matter obviously is a problem of designing, probably repositioning the sockets and other accessories will help and an electrician and maybe a plasterer will do, depends on the job.

I agree with the other answer. A potentially cheaper and easier option is to use trunking to make it more of a feature. If done well, it can look rather swish! Naturally, you'll be able to see it. So, if this is something you don't want then go with the previous post option.
