Bath tap not running cold water

Anonymous user 9 March 2024 - 3.26 PM

Recently installed new bathroom but the bath tap does not run cold water. Bath tap is a Crosswater mixer tap; 1 tap and 1 handle. Hot water pressure is fine but when turning to cold it’s barely a drip. The same for the shower, the shower runs hot, even when on the coldest setting. The sink taps run absolutely fine and cold pressure is good. What is causing the issue on the bath taps and shower?

it could be the flexible hose twisted if you have something like that or the cold water valve under the tub can only be slightly open and needs to be opened as needed

The main source of cold water should be checked, there is no much pressure of cold water coming in. The valve should be checked too if it does not turn anti clockwise fully for adequate cold water to flow through it.

Is the cold gravity or mains? If it’s gravity it could be an air lock!
