New shower fitted now no hot water

My mum has had a new bathroom fitted. Her old electric shower was removed and new shower fitted to combi boiler. The boiler is only a couple of years old and no issues with it previously. Since the bathroom was done, she's had no hot water to the shower or bathroom and kitchen taps only warm. Nothing wrong with central heating. She's had the boiler looked at by an engineer and it's since been serviced with no issues, they think problem is with shower. No water pressure issues, only problem is no hot water. The plumber who fitted it all is less then interested in coming back out. Any ideas?

It sounds to me the problem is with the diverted valve in the boiler,it wouldn’t be the shower as all hot water supply is affected, The diverted valve is not changing over. They should have sorted the problem with it when it was serviced. Hope this is a help for you and good luck

I agree with the diverter valve being faulty. If it is not this it could be a partial blockage in the heat exchanger plate. More likely to be the diverter though. If it was an issue with the shower itself. Unless it was bleeding cold back in to the hot there would be no issues with other outlets. Good luck. Hope you get it sorted 👍

Would pretty much agree that the valve could be the issue, but would check pressure first, top up or release if needed

If there was not issue before and the boiler has been checked then the issue can be. plumbing cross over which can cause a complaint such as 'water not hot enough. '
