Unable to Remove Cabinet Door From Dishwasher
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.41 PM
I have an integrated Dishwasher that has a door attached to it. I can see no screws which are attached to the door but I do see some sort of black square at the top middle of the dishwasher. I assume it's what's sticking the door to the dishwasher. Is there any way to easily remove this as the gap is extremely small? Any help would be appreciated.

Some appliances (Miele, Neff, AEG, etc.) are using a kind of sliding brackets instead. The mounted brackets fitted on the decor door slides inside the vents in the dishwasher door, so depending on the model, just by pulling the decor door up carefully and with dexterity(!) might be enough. Otherwise, it might be necessary unscrewing a couple of "hidden" screws as well, placed at each side and usually at the bottom of the dishwasher door, in order to make removable (by pulling up) the attached door from the appliance.

All appliances are different but likely that there are two or three screws going through the metal door into the decor panel. If in doubt just ask the manufacturers technical dept and they will advise.

this is totally different with the type of door front fitted,
but usually they are a size 20 star drive screw fitted about the second one down and sometimes the second one up.
also some have 2 t clips fitted to the bottom of the panel that engage in the slots of the machine, also as mentioned above some also have the self adhesive pads fitted.
BUT all this changes only slightly if it is a door and drawer front design and if it is a handeless design.
