Wet Plaster and Asbestos Scabbler

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 2.55 PM

I have some info about this, but would love to hear more. Ceilings are being boarded and then skimmed, the next day the Asbestos removal team are returning to finish off the scabbling of the floor (removing some ACM) Question is this, as there is potential for Asbestos Dust throughout, would waiting until the ceilings have gone off, (7days) be prudent, or making sure they are isolated by the Asbestos Team, taped off with plastic, be an option. Or is worrying about the ACM recontamination the wet plaster a none issue? Any views most welcome. It's all in the hands of legal and my landlords, but I do like to research on my own too. :)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Probably worrying too much. ACM to thermoplastic tiles or bitumen is minimal and there will be little to no dust in removal. The contamination will be chrysotile ( white ) and was used as a binder in the tiles / adhesive so there is little chance of contamination to wet plaster.
