Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

No I wouldn't expect to pay anything. A new roof should come with some sort of garentee and if its a decent builder I don't see why he would not go up and repair it for you, would take him about an hour tops to do it.

It’s not your roofers fault, this happens even to new roofs build to current standards & regulations, your the second person in the last 24hours who posted on the forum about storm damage your not only one it’s happened too. If you have home insurance you should claim on that for storm damage, I don’t think it’s fair to expect a tradesperson/ company to fix it at their own expense when their work wasn’t at fault. If it was just a standard wet windy day, then it would be a different matter but it wasn’t it was a recorded storm. A point to note tile manufacturers don’t guarantee their products in storms, so from that basic no roofer/company would guarantee their workmanship for such an occasion either, it would be a very quick way of going out of business. If your roof tiles have blown off during the cyclone Storm Arwen last week this would come under storm damage and claimable under your building insurance. The tradesmen workmanship would be most likely dismissed under (force majeure) meaning this adverse weather was out of the roofers powers to prevent or avoid the situation, act of god

I think your tiles cracked because of this weather . You don’t need to waste your time to stay like this because you gone have more problems. My advice is to replace tiles. Good luck.
