Plastering & Rendering

how would you dry line the face of a metal corrugated sheet?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.25 PM

I have an existing masonry wall that has an internal metal corrugated finish and I want to have a smooth finish, is it possible to dryline the corrugated sheet by fixing metal studs to the corrugation and then fixing a plasterboard to the studs and then skim and paint? could I even using timber battens rather than the metal studs? I'm thinking that if I can't dryline the corrugation sheet maybe its best to just strip off the corrugated sheet and just dryline the masonry wall behind it or if not I could just build a new stud wall layer in front of the corrugated sheet. I'm open to all options.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Depends on many things, age of building, what's it built of, without even a photo you won't get the correct answer you are looking for
