Relocation of gas / open fire combustion vent
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.57 PM
Hi, At my work we often require combustion vents to be relocated / raised higher above ground. They are relocated on the same wall in the same room, just higher up. At present we are sub contracting this work to HETAS engineers but we work in lots of different areas of the UK and require a new engineer for each area which is proving problematic. Do you have to be HETAS qualified to simply relocate the vent or would something like an ACOPS qualification suffice? The only work done is literally to relocate the vent. Nothing more. Thank you

A gas safe registered engineer can do this and he would have to follow appliance manufacturers instructions.
