Ways to find a leak? Pressure loss
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.43 PM
Thank you for the answers, got a Gas safe to have a look, he put in a litre of leak stop, topped up and said call if it drops again. It did within the hour and couldnt get hold of him. Changed the PRV which was sludged up. Put on a new filter and all working fine. Thanks again....... I have a 12 year old Greenstar CDi, about a month ago lost pressure. Topped up the system, but would lose about 1bar in 6 hours. Turning off the 22mm CH feed and return at the base of the boiler, the boiler holds pressure with no lose. DHW work fine. So there must be a leak in the ch system, its an old house with all above ground pipe work. In 3 zones. Zone 1 house, zone 2 and 3 extra rooms. zone 2 and 3 have been capped off, so just zone 1 on the CH and still dropps pressure. Have topped up the system mainy times, but still no leak found. Been round every rad and conection, and no sign of anything. there must be 10+ litres come out the sysem but no sign. Any ideas?
