Stuart turner monsoon 2 bar single shower pump alternative

I have a Stuart turner monsoon 2 bar single shower pump. I only switch it on to use the shower. Sometimes it works fine but other times it will not start and just hums. I am looking for a new pump set to replace it, does the Stuart Turner Showermate Eco Standard Single Shower Pump 2.0 bar be compatible with the one I am having? https://www.toolstation.com/stuart-turner-showermate-eco-standard-single-shower-pump/p96290

Any single impeller pump is fine but to get the best out of them there are two key requirements. If you are pumping the hot supply at the tank buy a pump with 22mm flexible connectors so you are not ‘choking down’ the hot supply and to avoid cavitation fit a salamander flange or similar in to the copper cylinder..your likely problem is that the pump in the past has drawn air which overheats the pump which knackers the bearings and causes the impeller to lock..Grundfos SSR2 is a reliable and economical pump. If you do fit a flange establish the outlet size at the top of the cylinder as it can be 1” or 3/4” so you need to purchase the correct flange be it a salamander or Surrey type. Hope that helps.
