Replacing concealed cistern
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.45 PM
How easy is it to replace a concealed toilet cistern with a traditional toilet? I know how to replace if it was just traditional to traditional but not sure with these concealed ones.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would remove the entire boarding & framework surrounding the concealed cistern, make good the walls and flooring (if required) and install a standard close coupled toilet. In terms of ease that depends upon what skill level you are. Skills required are joinery, plumbing and perhaps tiling. I would class this job as easy for a professional but challenging for a novice
