Bathroom mirror to tile
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.25 PM
Hi Our bathroom has floor to ceiling tiles and I am wanting to put up a mirror. What is the best way? I originally bought a thin flat mirror from ikea and hung it up using gorilla tape however due to the tiles being wavy and uneven it didn’t get the right grip. I am now resigned to drilling once I source a bathroom mirror unless there is an alternative? Thanks

Try with hodgson , crl or xtragrip mirror adhesive. They will take around 24 h to dry so will need supporting underneath mirror. Once glue is dry will hold solid to
The wall.

I wouldnt fix the mirror directly to a ceramic tile. I recommend to have 10mm ply frame or substrate which is glued with the help of clamp press. Then use a concealed hanger to fix it.

Yes your probably better to drilling and fixing if you purchase a pre drilled mirror mark through the holes in the mirror with a permanent marker and use white masking tape over the marks you' should see the marks through the tape you can use a 7mm diamond tile max drill you can then use wall plugs and mirror screws to fix the mirror
Do not use a screwgun go gently with a screwdriver
Other than that there are adhesives for mirror fixing the mirror will have to be supported while setting allow overnight for setting
