Pitched roof single storey rear extension: bay windows
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.53 PM
I have just bought a house and would like to add a full width rear extension. Ideally I'd like this to have a pitched roof but have upstairs bay windows that look like they will obstruct the pitched roof. It's a 1930's detached property. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be done?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Jay77_41 when constructing pitched roofs with a limited height restriction we use vaulted trusses as we can lower the height of your new roof with out compromising you internal ceiling height.
