Garage is sinking in one corner, unsure what the best option is to help this

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

Noticed just the other day that my garage has begun to sink in one corner, shown in the brickwork. I can't recall any cracks in the floor in the garge. The walls are only single brick deep The crack is only on one wall, it doesn't continue around the corner, so maybe the whole garage is sinking to some extent Not sure on the best option to help reraise the garage, i.e. underpinning or helical piers, etc.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If the cracking is stepped it is subsiding and underpinning is probably the best answer

Sounds like the corner of the garage definitely needs to be underpinned

Are there any trees near property.also drainage undermining foundation . Due to leak. Might have to dig trial hole to investigate before major underpinning works.
