Bathroom Fitting

Are both 1st fix and 2nd fix components usually provided by an online sanitary supplier?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

The construction company of our newbuilt home are suggesting to me to ask the Sanitary Supplier to include a list of components they feel are required with the purchase. So they can then review this list to confirm what items are 1st fix plumbing items and what are 2nd fix components needed to finalise the installation. Is this correct? I am not a plummer and have no clue but shouldn't I just worry of the 2nd fix items? Many thanks

It would be highly unlikely you would get the required material items to 1st fix a bathroom from an online bathroom supplier.

absolutely. Your only responsibility is to purchase the sanitary fittings. The plumber/contractor should supply ALL first fix components.
