Dealing with Moss in mid-October

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

Have I got time this year (2021) to 1) kill areas of moss, 2) reseed and obtain some regrowth before this coming winter? (I don't want to risk living with huge unsightly gaps in my lawn until next spring).

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Personally I’d say you haven’t! I would advise you to wait until 2022 now. Thanks AJ Gardening

In my opinion you have. I have had some recent success with killing moss in lawns. If the weed is growing 'at all' it will respond somewhat to treatment but results will be slower to obtain at this time of year than in Spring. As for re-seeding and regrowth it all depends on the temperature. We might get some germination if the weather stays mild
