Toilet leaking. Help me find where it's leaking from please? :)

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

I have a leak in my bathroom which can be seen by water piling up at the bottom of the toilet (on the floor). I have tried a few things but just can't figure out where the leak is coming from so looking to find out if there's something I may have missed. So far the things I have tried are: - replace waste pipe - replace isolating valve The toilet is dry around the supply line. I have noticed that when I shut the valve for the toilet the leak decreases significantly. Last night I put water into the tank manually and left the valve off and there was a significant amount of water on the floor in the morning. Odd thing is that I can't see/feel any water around the tank though. Any help will me much appreciated. Thanks Edit: Toilet is a modern style toilet.

It could be your doughnut washer that has perished or the 2 screws that hold the cistern onto the bowl

If there is nothing leaking at all. including supply line/valve, waste outlet and also the integrals of the toilet. And depending on if you have a tank directly attached to the back of the toilet or if there is a gap between the tank and toilet bridged by a plastic pipe. There could also be Damage or crack in the water tank Condensation (rare but have seen) Rubber seal on flush pipe has perished
