None of the radiators heating up
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.44 PM
Hi, had a new boiler installed in May. Now we have come to put the heating on for the first time, and none of the radiators are heating up at all. Boiler (ideal) is working fine, producing hot water. Thermostat (wiser) is registering currently temperature and has turned boiler on as expected (Thermostat set to 20, current temperature is 18). Bled all radiators and no air coming out, just water. Cannot see what the problem is or why the hot waters not coming through to the radiators. It's a high pressure hot water system.

Hi the selector knob on the boiler may be set to hot water only, sometimes installers would leave it in hw only during the summer. Also if you have trv’s they may be off

As above, definitely sounds like a control issue. Possibility the flow and return isolation valves beneath below could be turned off and if its a combi the hot water will still work if there is pressure in the boiler.

Also check the heating flow valves are not turned off! I have often made a no heating call on this boiler, and the heating valve is accidentally turned off
