age of Worcester 28CDI boiler

Hi, I have lived in my property since 2009 and need to find out how old my boiler is... apparently it is coded within the serial number but it makes no sense to me. The long serial number is 7716130017 8700709451 Can anyone advise? Many thanks Clare

I would recommend contacting Worcester technical on 0330 123 9559. They'll ask you to supply the serial number. Within the serial number, part of the code is indicative of the production date. However, the factory production date doesn't mean that's the date the boiler was installed. Ask them if they have details of the warranty registration. Registrations for the older boilers were a lot more lax than today, but you never know!
