Removing patio doors to open up in extension
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.44 PM
An extension built in 1984 spans the entire back of my home, the patio doors between living room and extension are still present step included. There is a lintel above the doors, would I have any possible structural issues if I remove these doors, wood frame and step leaving the walls untouched. Part of the original exterior wall has already been removed to open the extension to the old kitchen area. Thanks.

As long as the lintel/steel is supported by the 2 returning structural walls. Just mind out of any loose bricks/cement from above when taking the door out .👍🏼

As long as walls are good and loose mason art and the lintel as 150 support on both walls it will be fine
