Fix a ridge beam on garage - joiner or roofer?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.25 PM

I have a fractured ridge beam (purlin) in my garage (been there for quite some time) but want to have it reinforced. Is this a job for a joiner or a roofer and what is the best course of action?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Carpenters job I’d say, hard to say what course of action is needed without seeing the damage first. Post a job on mybuilder or ring/email round a few local carpenters & get a few different options moving forward. Make sure to upload a good picture of the damage and general roof structure if you post a job to mybuilder, so that way you can get a quote quicker and so people can see the true extent to the damage. Hope this helps Regards Frankie BT Roofing Services Limited
