Can a sink waste be converted into a toilet waste?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.24 PM

I'm currently in the process of moving my bathroom into what used to be a utility room. I've had a plumber in who has said that it is impossible to get the toilet waste in the room due to concrete floors. He said that the only alternative thing to do is to dig down the side of the house to find the drain pipe and create a new waste. But I've just realised that there is currently a sink in this room that has a waste pipe coming out the side of the house - can this not just be turned into a toilet waste with a bigger pipe? Thanks for any advice with this!

I,m afraid you have to find out what the waste water his doing , so age of property , not found in homes 25 years old more than 40 years old the drain could have had multiple use . Today we collect water differently . WASTE WATER FOUL WATER AND RAIN WATER .IF you cannot do this then Planning permission will be required for a new drain route for Foul water . Or as a option you could look at Saniflo range of products . Best Answer ring your Local Authority ask for building control and they will email the upto date regulations .
