Hanging bird feeder from garden arch
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.24 PM
I have a classic shaped garden arch that I want to hang a bird feeder from. I want this to hang centrally from the middle of the arch. The issue I have is twofold: 1. The arch has 3 curved poles at the top, spanning the arch entrance. This means that the central point is the topmost point of the curve. So I would need a hook or loop to be firmly fixed at this point to prevent it sliding left or right. 2. There is no locking mechanism keeping these 3 arch parts in place, just a male/female slot-in tube joint, so the are sturdy as a result of the sides being firmly planted at the ideal distance apart. There is no tube down the centre keeping these firm and equidistant. It may be that hanging anything down the middle is structurally a no-no but I cannot find any means of attaching a hook or loop to such a bent structure, without a means of making it more sturdy. Any ideas?
